Virtuemart Malaysia Pos Laju International Shipping Rate

With the release of Virtuemart 2 version on December 2011, there is a special need to address the changes in how Virtuemart calculate shipping rates for each of shippable items in the shop.

Unlike its’ previous version which only requires you to update only one table, in Virtuemart 2 however, you will have to mandatory update 2 tables and optionally 1 table just to make sure that your shipping rate works flawlessly.

As of today, Exadomain has already compilled the sql dump files for Malaysia Pos Laju shipping rate for international delivery. Thess files will be available to download for free at our download section. Brief details of the files are as follow:

File name:

• jos_virtuemart_shipmentmethods_en_gb.sql (mandatory)
• jos_virtuemart_shipmentmethods.sql (mandatory)
• jos_virtuemart_shipmentmethod_shoppergroups.sql (optional)

Usage:

• Shipper is Pos Malaysia under Pos Laju (fast delivery) service
• Pos Laju International Delivery rate calculation (90 countries)
• For use in Virtuemart 2 only
• For delivery of parcel, not document

Other:

• Rates inclusive of Package Fee consisting of 15% fuel surcharge, 10% handling charges and 6% Government Service Charge
• Total shipping rates provided are 4,735 for 90 countries listed in Pos Malaysia published ‘Pos Laju delivery rate’.
• Maximum parcel weight is capped at 30 kg/order.
• Delivery to certain countries is capped at lower weight limit (20 kg) by Pos Malaysia.
• Shopper group is the 'default' group created during Virtuemart 2 installation
